Bats of the NWT Brochure (pdf/1.01 MB)

Description:

Collaborative efforts by the water partners involved in water stewardship in the Northwest Territories (NWT) brought about the development of Northern Voices, Northern Waters: The NWT Water Stewardship Strategy (Water Strategy) and subsequent Action Plans.

The current Action Plan for 2016-2020 is divided into four components, 33 Keys to Success and 149 Action Items. By 2020, the goal is to have fully implemented the Action Plan and contributed to the vision and goals of the Water Strategy.

One year since the release of the NWT Water Stewardship Strategy Action Plan 2016-2020, the comprehensive 2016/2017 NWT Water Stewardship Strategy Progress Review took place and assessed 52 Performance Indicators and 84 Action Items. Data for each Performance Indicator and Action Item are recorded in a spreadsheet and will be tracked over time.

The information sources for the review included document reviews, website analytics, meetings with lead water partners and a water partner survey. This document is a summary status update of all 2017 Action Items and examples of Performance Indicators from each section of the Action Plan:

• Work together

• Know and plan

• Use responsibly

• Check our progress

More detailed information on the status of specific Performance Indicators and Action Items is available at nwtwaterstewardship.ca. You can also request the information by emailing nwtwaterstrategy@gov.nt.ca.
