Resource Co-Management Workshop

Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act WORKSHOP – Online

Workshop Information and Goals

The Resource Co-Management Workshop (the Workshop) is being held online, March 9-11, 2021.

The Workshop is being hosted by the Land and Water Boards of the Mackenzie Valley, the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board, the Government of the Northwest Territories, and Government of Canada.

This year’s workshop theme is ‘Well-being and the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act: Making good co-management decisions in the Mackenzie Valley’. The goals of this workshop are to discuss the elements of the co-management system and how it works, and to identify opportunities for improvement – all with the lens of opportunities for improvement with respect to the way we consider and work towards well-being in the co-management system. This is a chance to share knowledge, ideas, experiences, and to discuss existing co-management processes.

In light of our changed circumstances with Covid-19, the Workshop will be hosted primarily online.
